Meeting scheduled for June 22, 2026 at 6:00pm to discuss the
Brookfield Renewable proposal to purchase up to 200,000 gallons of untreated water a day from Well #2. This well draws from a separate aquifer than the municipal drinking water system. As a result, the proposed water sale would have no impact on the City's current municipal water supply.
As part of the proposal, Brookfield Renewable would refurbish Well #2 at their own expense and return it to full operational status. The cost of refurbishment would then be applied as a credit toward the purchase of bulk water.
